AFBBS made a humble beginning as a primary school on 15 th July 1955 with 116 students and 6 members of the staff. The school was then housed in war time baracks. By 1974 it had grown into a full fledged senior school.

Today AFBBS stands as a Premier educational institution in the country. The school is being run by the Indian Air force Educational and Cultural Society as a recognized, unaided private institution. With own district identity. For over fifty years, it has set and prescribed high standards of excellence and is committed to quality education.
