Music

Air Force Bal Bharati School has maintained a rich tradition in music throughout the school's history. Every year, more than half of school students are enrolled in the voluntary music program. Many students are involved in more than one musical activity. Besides having the opportunity to participate in a wide range of Western and Indian ensemble groups, students also perform at recitals and concerts each semester. Critical to their musical development is monitored practice time that is scheduled into each school day.

The General Music Program for all grades integrates music education with the development of motor skills, verbal/nonverbal communication, creativity, and problem solving. It introduces students to the rudiments of music (rhythm, melody, harmony), various instruments and their tone colors, music history, composers, and musical styles. Students have opportunity to create music on instruments including recorder, keyboard, guitar, auto harp, bells, and drum. Singing is also included.
